The Fort Garry Horse in The Second World War
First published in the Netherlands in 1945, this first hand Regimental history is again in print. VANGUARD covers the activities of the FGH from mobilization in 1939 to the cessation of hostilities in 1945. From D-Day until the German surrender, the narrative details the day-to-day activities of the Regiment. Personal accounts of individual actions and excerpts from Squadron diaries are included as annexes, as well as the Roll of Honour and lists of awards presented to Regimental personnel.
Illustrated with 16 pages of photographs plus maps and diagrams of operations in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
